Discover your bed and breakfast . your space. Live the meeting of past and of the present live the moment, peace moment at The House Bakéa
Situated in the heart of south-west France, the Tarn is the prettiest of the eight départments in the Midi-Pyrénées. Albi - the capital of the Tarn - is a small bustling city with good shops, several excellent restaurants and a great café culture. Albi is also known for its fine buildings and easy access to Toulouse.
Venturing just north of Albi you will find a landscape "where Tuscany meets the Cotswolds". The many picturesque medieval Bastide villages are set against a backdrop of rolling hills, vineyards and fields of sunflowers. The traditional use of warm, honey-coloured stone accentuates the beautiful architectural features.
At the centre of this little pocket of south-west France is a "triangle d'or" (golden triangle) encompassing the region around Albi, the market town of Gaillac and the charming hilltop bastide village of Cordes-sur-Ciel.
The Midi-Pyrénées is quoted as being the region in France where people live longest and living conditions are the best. It also boasts an average of 2000 hours of sunshine per year.
Ideally located in the golden triangle between Cordes sur Ciel, Albi and Gaillac, a property dating from the end of the 13th century set in large grounds and orchards. Comfortable rooms, simply but tastefully decorated. Breakfast are served in the cathedral dining room or in the terrasse. Warm welcome from Nadia & Philippe
